    I always use Facebook marketplace to find gear, and I know this is going to sound stupid but when I meet the seller somewhere I always take a small practice amp and guitar with my generator to power it up. I want to hear what a guitar or pedal will sound like on my own gear. I got burned one time buying a pedal I couldn’t test so took it at face value! Learned my lesson when it didn’t work at home. Doh!
