Get My Guitar: Refund and Returns Policy
Overview
At Get My Guitar, customer satisfaction is our priority. Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. Unfortunately, if 30 days have passed since your purchase, we are unable to offer a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items cannot be returned, including:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software
- Some personal care products (e.g., earplugs)
- Any item marked as “Final Sale” or clearance
Please note: Items with damages or defects not caused by Get My Guitar or those returned outside of the 30-day window may not be eligible for a refund.
Affiliate Purchases
If you purchased a product via one of our affiliate partners (such as Fender, Zzounds, or other external retailers linked from our site), please note that Get My Guitar does not handle returns or refunds for these purchases. You will need to process your return or refund request through the original retailer’s website, adhering to their specific policies. For any assistance with affiliate purchases, please refer to the website where the product was purchased.
Returns Process
To complete your return, you must provide proof of purchase. Please do not send your product back to the manufacturer; all returns must be processed through Get My Guitar directly. To initiate a return, contact us at store@getmyguitar.com.
Partial Refunds
In certain circumstances, partial refunds may be granted (if applicable):
- Items showing obvious signs of use
- CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, or software that have been opened
- Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Items returned after the 30-day window
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your credit card or original payment method within a specified number of days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet, please follow these steps:
- Check your bank account or payment provider again.
- Contact your credit card company; it may take some time for your refund to officially post.
- Contact your bank for further information on processing times.
If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at store@getmyguitar.com.
Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items or items purchased during promotional events are non-refundable.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same one, please contact us at store@getmyguitar.com. You will be responsible for sending the item to our returns address, which will be provided in the exchange confirmation email.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift during purchase and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the returned item. Once the return is processed, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift or was shipped to the gift giver, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Shipping Returns
To return your product, please email us at store@getmyguitar.com for the appropriate returns address.
You are responsible for covering the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is approved, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund amount.
If you are shipping a high-value item, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item without a tracking number.
