Beetronics has returned with the Vezzpa Fuzz, the latest addition to the brand’s Babee series and the first to combine digital controls with an analogue fuzz circuit. At its core, the Vezzpa is powered by an op-amp and offers two operating modes: Fuzzzz and Stinger. The former lets you blast a thick wall of fuzz, ideal for big power chord motifs and the like, while the latter is attuned to sharper and more aggressive tendencies, complete with up-octave stacking. To further adjust your tone, there’s a sustain control that takes the pedal from open-sounding to sputtery and gated. Meanwhile, the pedal’s digital controls are linked to performance features tied to the the footswitch. While you’re in bypass, holding the footswitch down will momentarily engage the effect.
