"The Epiphone L-00 Studio acoustic-electric guitar is a direct descendent of Epiphone's original line of flattops which go back to the Golden Age of acoustic guitars, the 1930s. This smaller ""parlor"" or ""blues box"" style acoustic guitar is favored by blues players of all eras for its compressed, woody tonal quality, short scale and comfortable weight. The combination makes it ideal for fingerpicking or the bark of a bottle neck slide. It features a select mahogany body with solid spruce top, rosewood bridge and mahogany neck, again, a mixture of tonewoods that'll fit right in the blues pocket. Now featuring the Fishman Sonitone soundhole preamp and Fishman Sonicore pickup, the L-00 Studio acoustic-electric can be plugged-in and heard on any size stage with first-class acoustic/electric sound. The pickup is set underneath the saddle. The Sonitone soundhole preamp is an active preamp mounted in the soundhole with easy-to-access mounted rotary controls for Master Volume and Tone adjustment. Now you can make your adjustments during soundcheck and even fine adjustments on-the-fly during your set. No more running back and forth to your amp or the soundboard. The active preamp is powered by a single 9-volt battery. You can connect your Epiphone L-00 Studio to a PA or amp of your choice with a standard 1/4"" instrument cable. The L-00 Studio acoustic-electric features a solid spruce top with 3-ply black and white binding. The solid spruce top will improve in tone as it ages. The more you play it, the better it will sound. The body features select mahogany with single-ply white binding on the back. The mahogany neck and body combined with the solid spruce top make for the perfect combination of tone, warmth and brilliance with a bigger sound than you would expect from a smaller-sized guitar. The smaller body (15.5"" wide at lower bout) and straight rosewood bridge also influence the L-00 Studio's distinctive voice which is more focused than a dreadnought and perfect for singers. The rosewood bridge features a compensated imitation bone saddle. The 24.75"" scale select mahogany neck has a SlimTaper D profile with a 1.68"" nut and is set with a hand-fitted dovetail neck joint using premium Titebond glue. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12"" radius, single-ply black binding, 19 medium frets, and pearloid dot inlays. The tortoise shell style pickguard has a vintage metal ""E"" and the L-00 Studio has a Vintage Sunburst color finish. This special guitar also features Epiphone's no-nonsense quality including nickel hardware, strap buttons, a 1/4"" endpin, Grover 14:1 machine heads with mini-buttons, D'Addario Phosphor (12-53) strings, and carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. The story of "Greeny" is shrouded in mystery, but few guitars are as illustrious. Greeny is one of the most iconic original Les Paul Standards ever made, with a unique sound as recognizable as the guitar itself. Previously owned by Peter Green, it was used throughout his time with Fleetwood Mac and later sold to Gary Moore, who used it for three decades with Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist. Now owned by Kirk Hammett, Greeny has passed through the hands of three legendary guitarists. Its distinctive sound is partly from the out-of-phase middle switch position due to the neck pickup's reversed magnetic polarity.

Get my Guitar found the latest prices on the Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V Electric Guitar Purple Metallic.

The Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V pays tribute to one of the most important guitars in heavy metal history. Establishing the tonal precedent that he’s carried throughout his career, Hammett’s original Gibson Flying V was used on seminal Metallica albums from 1983 on, including Kill ’Em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. The iconic instrument inspired countless lead lines and riffs from Metallica’s most influential era and has been a fan favorite in his rotating “guitarsenal” over the decades. The Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V offers players everywhere the opportunity to experience a legendary instrument, made famous by one of metal’s greatest heavyweights. Retro-futuristic StylingThe purple metallic Epiphone Kirk Hammett Flying V electric guitar proudly embraces a bold outline that has become representative of heavier genres due to its “aggressive” appearance. Gibson initially unveiled the Flying V shape in 1958, many years prior to metal’s emergence. Too radical for its time, fewer than 100 guitars were built during its initial run, though it would later catch on in the ’60s with players such as Dave Davies, Albert King and even Jimi Hendrix. The Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 V captures a historical snapshot that players can engage with today—the late ’70s were a time of experimentation and one-off embellishment at Gibson, making Hammett’s original 1979 Flying V a truly unique guitar. V-style instruments may have their roots in the past, but it’s an enduringly intrepid shape made ageless by daring guitarists throughout history. Gibson USA PickupsKeeping in line with a genre-defining instrument, Kirk Hammett’s Epiphone 1979 Flying V contains a pair of Gibson USA Calibrated T-Type humbuckers—a nod to the popular T-Tops produced between 1966 and 1979, and the same style that would’ve been found in a late ’70s Gibson off the shelf. These pickups achieve the growling, biting, oft-imitated tone heard on Metallica’s most celebrated material. Definition under high gain, cutting attack during solos or lead licks, and guttural palm mutes are the foundation of the T-Type humbucker on which Kirk Hammett built a signature sound. Vintage-voiced T-Type pickups retain much of the modesty and versatility you’d expect from an older humbucker, but they have plenty of output for hard rock and metal—as demonstrated by Kirk Hammett. Superior Hardware and ComponentsAn electric guitar is more than just the sum of its parts, and the Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V is imbued with much of the intangible “mojo” that makes the original so special. That said, being fitted with prime hardware and components from the factory doesn’t hurt either. Kirk Hammett’s Epiphone V comes loaded with CTS potentiometers, an Orange Drop capacitor, a Switchcraft pickup toggle and output jack, and Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with spade buttons.
