The Fullerton Deluxe Doheny bundles some of the most time-honored option combinations from G&L into one electric guitar. The Doheny takes the bolt-on offset-body into new sonic territory with Magnetic Field Design jazz pickups, the first on any production G&L. Naturally, these pickups will invite comparison to jumbo MFD ASAT Special pickups, given they employ a narrow bobbin aperture and broad coil splay. But Doheny’s MFD pickups are more about jangle than twang, just as they should be for a guitar like this, with the added P.T.B. System for maximum versatility. The Fullerton Deluxe Doheny also features a Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. Get my Guitar found the latest prices on the G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Special Electric Guitar Turquoise.

The G&L ASAT Special just might be the quintessential G&L guitar, viewed by many as the ultimate single-cutaway. Back in 1985, this model was launched under the G&L Broadcaster name, which prompted a response from Fred Gretsch of Gretsch Guitars over the name as Broadkaster is owned by Gretsch. The name then became “ASAT” which is US military shorthand for an “Anti-Satellite” missile. The ASAT Special, as the model became known, features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design pickups, each with a narrow bobbin aperture for a coil which is shallow yet wide. In this regard, an MFD jumbo single coil is similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster pickup, but the MFD principle provides a punchier bottom end and brighter top end that sparkles with harmonics. With the addition of his innovative Saddle-Lock bridge which transfers string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument, the ASAT Special is one of the most versatile guitars ever, serving up everything from ballsy twang to searing blues and smooth jazz tones. "The G&L S 500 debuted in 1982 as an evolution of the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on electric, delivering innovations including the Dual-Fulcrum vibrato and Magnetic Field Design single-coil pickups. These MFD pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end and robust bottom end, all without losing midrange focus. You’ll find plenty of punch in the MFD pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls. The latter is a part of the S 500’s PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system which functions on all three pickups. Plus, the S 500 includes a mini-toggle Expander Switch to allow neck+bridge blend or combining all three pickups together. In a pinch, the neck+bridge combo does a convincing faux ASA Special. The S 500 also features a Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. The Gibson SG Standard solid body electric guitar isn't just an instrument—it's a rite of passage. Born in '61, this guitar has been in the hands of rule-breakers, riff-makers and stage-shakers ever since. Sleek, fast and unapologetically bold, the SG is leaner than a Les Paul and louder than life. Think Angus Young duckwalking across stadiums or Tony Iommi forging the sound of metal. Whether you're tracking in the studio or igniting a live set, this is the guitar that says you've arrived. Mahogany Body With Signature Gibson ResonanceThe SG Standard's solid mahogany body delivers rich tone, harmonic depth and the kind of sustain that made Gibson famous. A long-tenon neck joint at the 19th fret adds punch and stability, while the nitrocellulose finish lets the wood breathe and age naturally. This is the same tonewood that powered Sabbath's heaviest riffs—and it's still built to sing.490R and 490T Pickups With Classic GrowlEquipped with 490R and 490T Alnico II humbuckers, this SG covers everything from bluesy warmth to sharp, articulate bite. The neck pickup delivers smooth soul, while the bridge cuts through with definition. These pickups don't just emulate vintage tone—they've helped define it, from Derek Trucks to Angus Young. Legendary Gibson Control Layout With Modern TouchTwo volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch—no gimmicks, just proven control. Artists from Frank Zappa to Sister Rosetta Tharpe have shaped their sound with this layout. It's fast, flexible and made for players who know how to dial in what they want, instantly. Stage-Ready Hardware With Player-First FeelThe SG Standard features a rounded mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard for smooth playability across all 22 frets. Get my Guitar found the latest prices on the Takamine Pro Series 3 Folk Nylon Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural.

Takamine' long history in traditional classical guitar construction manifests itself in the P3FCN contemporary nylon string acoustic/electric, designed to deliver classic nylon string tone in modern live and recording environments. The solid cedar top features hand-scalloped X bracing and ivory binding, with dark purfling and a gorgeous concentric-ring rosette with wood marquetry. An elegant Venetian cutaway offers optimum access to the upper registers. The unique Takamine split-saddle bone bridge provides faultless intonation and excellent acoustic coupling to the top. Other premium features include a solid sapele back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with wood œdot-in-dot inlays, gold tuners with amber buttons, natural satin finish and the highly acclaimed CT4B II preamp system with three-band EQ, volume control and built-in tuner. The Palathetic pickupUsing six individually shielded piezo-electric elements, one for each string, the Palathetic pickup is not a just a UST (under saddle pickup). In fact the Takamine design employs twelve times the element mass of the typical under saddle pickup. The six elements penetrate the bridge plate, soundboard and bridge to make direct contact with the saddle creating a sonic linkage with the string. The pickup casing is mechanically attached to the guitars top and bridge creating a sonic linkage with the soundboard. The result of this design is a signal that possesses the articulation of an isolated string signal and the rich harmonic content delivered by the resonating soundboard for a full, complete and accurate acoustic guitar tone at high sound pressure levels. CT4B II Preamp FeaturesThe CT4B II preamp is designed for ease of use and purity of tone. The CT4B II consists of 3 bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider and a built-in chromatic tuner. The 3 band EQ provides control over the bass (LOW), midrange (MID) and treble (HIGH) frequency response. With the sliders set at the midpoint (0) the electric signal from the guitar is evenly balanced across the frequency range. The desired tone is then dialed in by using the sliders to add or subtract frequency response as desired. Each frequency control slider will raise or lower the band response by +/-5db. The volume slider adjusts the output volume of the preamp. The convenient built-in chromatic tuner is extremely accurate and very easy to use. The tuner is activated by pressing the TUNER POWER button. To tune your instrument, simply pluck any open string. The tuner will then display the name of the note that has the closest frequency of the string played. The amount of deviation from the note (higher or lower) is displayed by red arrows indicating sharp or flat. When only the green center light illuminates, the note indicated in red has reached precise tuning. When the guitar is unplugged, the TUNER POWER switch acts as on and off. Your CT4B II tuner is also capable of being calibrated to frequencies other than standard A440. When the PITCH button is pressed, the frequency that is currently set will be shown by a flashing red light above the frequency number. While the reference light is flashing, press the Pitch repeatedly to set the desired reference pitch. With each press of the button, the reference pitch will increase by 1Hz increments from 440Hz to 445Hz. Once the pitch has reached 445Hz, the next press will decrease the pitch to 438Hz. When the button operation is stopped, the reference pitch is set and the tuner will stand by for tuning. To facilitate silent on-stage tuning, the TUNER POWER button also acts as a mute switch when the guitar is played amplified. If you wish to be able to tune with your signal amplified, simply press the TUNER POWER a second time. Press a third time to shut off the tuner function. The tuner will shut off automatically when there is no signal for a couple of minutes. "The ""Slim"" in this Godin ACS-SA nylon-string guitar's moniker refers to the 1.715"" neck width at the nut—a mere 16th of an inch wider than Godin's standard electric guitar nut width. If you do most of your playing on a guitar with a fairly narrow neck (such as most solid-body electric guitars) this is the ACS-SA guitar for you. The slim neck of the Godin ACS-SA Slim guitar, along with the Ergocut shaping technique and 16"" fingerboard radius, provides for a very easy transition for steel-string guitar players looking to integrate nylon-string guitar sounds into their music. Aside from the new neck, the ACS-SA Slim shares all of the same features that have made the Godin ACS-SA nylon-string guitar an industry standard.

The unique TV Yellow finish was created to look white under the unforgiving lights of early television, as a true white finish would overload the primitive camera lenses. The unique greenish-yellow hue has made fans of its own over the years, and graces this great-sounding left-handed guitar that's simply fun to play. These MFD pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end and robust bottom end, all without losing midrange focus. You’ll find plenty of punch in the MFD pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls.
